Second Sunday of Summer
Gospel Reading
Whoever hears the words I say to you and does them can be compared to a wise man who lowers his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the rivers overflowed, and the winds blew and beat upon that house, and it was not shaken, for its foundation was upon the rock. And whoever hears the words I speak to you and does not do them may be compared to the man who builds his house on sand. And the rain fell, and the rivers overflowed, and the winds blew and came down on that house, and it collapsed. And great was its ruin. When Ieshu had finished speaking, he left the people in awe of his teaching, for he taught as one who had power and not as the scribes and Pharisees.
