Fourth Sunday of Summer
Gospel Reading
You have heard that it was said to the elders: an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. And I say to you, do not fight with the wicked. If anyone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the left. And if someone calls you to court to steal your tunic, give him your cloak as well. And if someone wants to force you to walk a thousand paces with him, walk another two thousand paces. Give to him who asks, and do not turn away from him who comes to borrow. |
