Eleventh Sunday of Summer
Gospel Reading
Ieshu's disciples came up to him and asked him, ’Who will be the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? Jesus called a little child to him and placed him in the middle of the crowd, saying, ‘Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever therefore makes himself as little as this child, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever receives such a little child in my name receives me. But whoever scandalizes one of these little ones, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung round his heart and he were cast into the depths of the sea. Woe to the man through whom scandal comes! |
