Assumption of Holy Sophia
The Assumption of the Holy Sophia is a celebration of the magnificence of the Wisdom of God. It is a reminder of the cosmic importance of the Divine Feminine and particularly of Her role in the redemption of all emanated things back into the Godhead. As a Sophian Service says of Her: “She is the Great Mother of Compassion, and it is she that has come out forth from the Aeons to give grace to the realm of the Father. It is she who gave us the fire of life. It is she that gives us comfort and joy. She is that beloved spoken of in the Song of Solomon, that sweet honey of closeness to the Divine when we feel the embrace of God. She is the Shekinah, the very Loving Presence of God.”
Her salvific presence in the emanated world and Her assumption back into the Pleroma teaches us as Gnostics the wisdom of compassion and self-sacrifice. It also teaches us the Gnosis of Universal Divine Mercy and the hope that no matter how distant from the Divine things may appear to be, they will be returned into the Embrace of God. May we all, through Her Divine Love and Divine Wisdom feel the embrace of Our Beloved in the Glorious Beauty of the Heavenly Bridal Chamber of the Pleroma! Amen. - Reverend Mr. Mathieu Ravignat |
